My significant other packs my bags when I have a session. Why? They just do it. But more than half the time, they forget stuff. Like my cell phone. Or other important items, like a clean linen for the headrest. In those instances, I improvise and use a small hand towel, instead. As long as it’s clean, it’s OK.
But what about when they text me wrong addresses for clients? I end up going in circles, and that’s really not my idea of fun, because I already have a dedicated machine, a GPS, that does that for me. (See my prior SubStack journal entry I “penned” about my In-Home Massage in New Jersey GPS driving experience just hours ago!)
As for my lunch, I don’t eat during the day. No; I’m not doing “intermittent fasting” by design; I started eating this way back in the ‘90s. My stomach really doesn’t want food during the day. Well, usually. Anyway, there’s no lunch to forget to pack.
I do drink protein shakes during the day. Sometimes, at least. Other times, it’s just water from home. I drink NoSweet Silk sometimes earlier in the day, but on most day I drink it after about 5 PM or so. Sometimes, I add coca or cacao powder. (I prefer the ultra-processed cocoa any day!) Sometimes I bring that along, other times I tote no nutrition…or drink. *gulp* (*dry gulp*, actually)
At one time I drank protein drinks. After a recall of Aloha brand, the very same brand I was consuming at the time, I realized that Silk is always fresh, and a lot less complex a formula, and thus easier to digest because of both factors. (And, incidentally, cheaper!)
I’ve drank rancid protein shakes plenty of times before; I’ve tried all the vegan offerings. Silk is better. A larger brand, a more consistently fresh product. Oh, did I mention rancid foods give me terrible stomach issues? Yup; it’s true.
In the end, it’s just a part of my In-Home Massage life, driving around on old local roads, exploring every area I pass through, noting the local culture, architecture, and vibe. In all honesty, I don’t want to have to pee while driving.
And so, as much as I tell my clients to “keep hydrated,: I daily break this rule…well, almost daily…because girls can’t just pull to the side of the road and pop a squat, though I saw a woman doing just that last week on 287 and I now wonder if she’s a trailblazer or just plain out-of-it.
